24 years later the citizens of Kansas City will likely not see a World Series take over Kauffman Stadium in the 40th anniversary of the Royals Baseball franchise. With a great start the first few weeks and Zack Greinke's success granting him the cover of Sports Illustrated the team had some of town anticipating a return to the 1980's greatness of Brett, Howser, and White. The mid summer brought fans back to the realization that we'll have to wait at least one more year. Despite their record, you can not say you've had a complete summer in the KC metropolitan area if you have yet to get out to a game at Kauffman Stadium. Because Kansas City Royals fans again have one of the greatest venues in professional sports that is a new experience from years past.
I tried to recreate a few classic Kansas City Royals characteristics into this custom using a Nike Air Force 1: Royals blue and gold, the old R Crown logo, 1985 World Series logo, Sluggerrr, wooden bats, green grass, brown dirt, and the falling water of the fountains. So if you see these out on your visit to "The K" let me know!
